I'm pleased to inform you that APNEK's program "Aïn Jloula" has been selected as an honorable mention award winner in Developing nation category by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership.
There were many excellent entries this year. I'm very pleased that our organization will be one of those honored.
our program truly embodies the spirit of the Associations Make A Better World campaign, which seeks to recognize outstanding
examples of associations who make a significant contribution to societies and economies worldwide.
The Associations Make A Better World Awards are presented annually to recognize the valuable contributions made by
individual associations around the world as well as associations working between nations.
ASAE & The Center will be sending out a Press Release recognizing the 2007 Associations Make A Better World Awards
winners. The list of the 2007 award winners (this information will be included in the Press Release) is below for our reference.

Founded in 1984 and registered as charity of a general character, APNEK's mission is contributing in environmental protection and sustainable development.Its activities include advocacy, field work, national and international participation, netwoking and exchange in fiels as diverse as nature and natural resources protection, urban life enhancement (solid waste management, spaces greening.). It enjoys Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and associated with UN DPI since 1997, while it is member of the executive Boards of MIOE-CSDE (Athens) and RAED (Egypt) is partner to UNEP-MAP (Athens) and accredited with UN CCD (Bonn).
